so unexpected

a poem I wrote on an airplane after meeting Marveline (read the inner view below for details)

Through her young heart, fragile body and decayed teeth came the most sincere ‘God bless you’ I’ve ever heard come my way.
Twice or maybe thrice she kissed my hand.
She took her time as she graciously communicated simple wisdom of whats important; Jesus, prayer.
Born in a sod house in Nebraska some 93 years ago, she has lived a vivacious heroine life.
A wonder full inner view into a gem of a human.
I wish I could have received her love better, it was so unexpected.
Thank you God, surprise really is your middle name.

Brother of mine- I appriciate your ability to appreciate the little things in life, and explore beyond the mere surface meaning of events. It is refreshing in a world of facades… gratzi.
